the death of a city, the racism that brought it up, maintained it, and killed it, the people of New Orleans that were responsible for it's magic and lure and flavor and history, are gone from it now, ripped out not from the waters but from our people, our actions, our acceptance of racism, the chains of slavery rattled loudly.
